Raised all over the south as an army brat, Kathy eventually settled in Johnson City, Tennessee in 1997 with her pastor husband, four children (who were all born within five years!) and quirky cat. Equipped with marketing experience and extensive knowledge as a corporate trainer, Kathy entered the Real Estate industry in 2003 and earned the Rookie Of The Year award at her local association. Quickly achieving the rank of Principle Broker, Kathy was then named Tri-Cities REALTOR OF THE YEAR in 2010. She has held many leadership positions at her Realtor Board locally and on a state level as well as being recognized with multiple annual awards. Kathy spent nearly four years at Keller Williams Realty Tri Cities’ office as Team Leader before being offered the opportunity to work with Keller Williams International as a MAPS Leadership Coach in 2014. Since then, it has been Kathy’s personal mission to strategically empower and inspire transformation in leaders.
Today, Kathy continues to coach as a MAPS Leadership Coach and is the leader of The Oakes Real Estate Team in Johnson City, TN. In her margin time, Kathy shares life with her husband of 30 years, mentors young women in her community and enjoys being “Mom Mom” to her three grandchildren (with another on the way!).
